Clean room for pharmaceuticals and medical technology

ECOS GmbH

We are an Austrian company based in Kirchberg am Wagram (approx. 70 km west of Vienna) and specialize in the production of cleanrooms for the pharmaceutical industry, but also for other sectors such as microelectronics, the automotive industry, hospitals, etc.

Since our company was founded in 1997, we have implemented numerous projects of various sizes and can therefore draw on a wealth of experience in the field of cleanrooms for the pharmaceutical industry. You can find an overview of our previous customers under References.

General information on cleanrooms for pharmaceuticals and medical technology

We plan, produce and install cleanrooms for the pharmaceutical and medical sectors from a single source. The planning and design is carried out in direct cooperation with the customer or architects and specialist planners and is planned and manufactured individually according to customer specifications.

Cleanroom walls and cleanroom ceilings created and used by us can be used flexibly; almost all components for process, sanitary or electrical systems can be installed or integrated (surface-mounted / flush-mounted).

Cleanroom surfaces can be finished in stainless steel V2A (1.4301) / V4A (1.4571) or powder-coated in a wide range of RAL colors.

Partners / SUB companies / suppliers

The highest possible quality is absolutely essential in the manufacture of cleanrooms for the pharmaceutical industry. We therefore source the components required for our cleanrooms (door drives, sliding doors, lights, etc.) exclusively from competent partners with whom we have been working for many years and have only had very good experiences.

Components for cleanroom equipment (cleanroom furniture, cleanroom equipment, floors for cleanrooms), cleanroom clothing or cleanroom equipment are not part of our product range, but can be supplied if required. If required, we can also put you in touch with our suppliers.

Cleanroom classes

Our cleanrooms / cleanroom ceilings / cleanroom doors / cleanroom glazing are used in the various cleanroom classes according to ISO 14644-1 (ISO 5 - ISO 9) or according to GMP guidelines Annex 1 (cleanroom class A to cleanroom class D) with positive and negative pressure.

Cleanroom filters / air filter boxes / cleanroom luminaires / cleanroom equipments

All cleanroom components are easily integrated flush into our cleanroom wall or cleanroom ceiling in consultation with the planner; various equipment and process systems are taken into account during planning and production.

Monitoring components are built into the doors of our cleanrooms.

Leakage test / blower door test

In our sample room at our company site, we have tested a wide variety of cleanroom doors with different pressure differences / pressure levels (10 - 100 Pascal) for leaks. We are happy to provide you with these leakages when designing the ventilation system in the project planning.

Disinfection resistance (H2O2 hydrogen peroxide)

Cleanrooms are normally disinfected using conventional cleaning agents and disinfectants to which our system is resistant. In the production of cleanrooms, all cut edges are only powder-coated after punching, so no bare areas are visible.

If special cleaning agents and/or disinfectants are to be used, we are happy to carry out resistance tests on the powder coating.

The powder coating of the cleanroom walls of our ceiling system, including the cleanroom silicone, has been tested for resistance to hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) by the Graz University of Technology.

We will be happy to provide you with a list of all commercially available cleaning agents and disinfectants to which our powder coating is resistant.

Cleanroom silicone

The airtight grouting in the production of cleanrooms is carried out exclusively with cleanroom silicone (naturally with a test certificate from the Hygiene Institute).

Qualification and validation

We supply the necessary documentation for this in advance as far as possible.
