About ECOS

ECOS GmbhH. has its origins in the VOEST-ALPINE Group and was taken over by BINDER Holding in 2004. Ecos plans, produces and assembles high-quality cleanroom systems for semiconductor production, microelectron technology in general, for the chemical industry, food industry, pharmaceutical industry, laboratories, etc.
The company is based in Kirchberg am Wagram, Lower Austria, a small town conveniently located close to the S5 Vienna - Krems highway.

Cleanrooms for semiconductor production - General information

At ECOS you receive all services related to the production of cleanrooms for semiconductor manufacturing from a single source. The cleanroom planning and production is carried out directly in our company, our experienced fitters ensure the professional installation of the cleanroom.

During the planning and design phase, we work closely with specialist planners / architects, 3D models for collision checks / visualizations can be transmitted in all formats.

Almost all process, electrical or sanitary components can be integrated into our cleanroom walls and ceilings (surface-mounted and/or flush-mounted).

Powder coating of the cleanroom surfaces is possible in stainless steel V2A (1.4301) / V4A (1.4571) or in a wide range of RAL colors.

Partners / SUB companies / suppliers

We attach particular importance to the best possible quality and the highest possible quality and therefore source components such as automatic door drives, high-speed roller shutters, sliding doors with / without fire protection requirements, lights, etc. exclusively from partners with whom we have been working for many years and have only had very good experiences.

Additional components such as filter technology, equipment, cleanroom furniture, floors (raised floors), cleanroom clothing or cleanroom equipment are not part of our product portfolio, but can be supplied. If required, we will be happy to recommend our suppliers.

Cleanroom classes

Our cleanrooms / cleanroom doors / cleanroom ceilings / cleanroom glazing are used in the various cleanroom classes according to ISO 14644-1 (ISO 5 - ISO 9) or according to GMP guidelines Annex 1 (cleanroom class A to cleanroom class D) with positive and negative pressure.

Filters / air filter boxes / lights / cleanroom equipment

All components for our cleanrooms for semiconductor production can be easily integrated flush into our cleanroom walls or cleanroom walls in consultation with the specialist planner, whether cleanroom filters, air filter boxes or cleanroom luminaires.

Various other equipment for cleanrooms and process systems are taken into account in the planning of our cleanroom system.

Leakage test / blower door test

At our company site, we have a sample room in which we have tested a wide variety of cleanroom doors with different pressure differences / pressure levels (10 - 100 Pascal) for leaks. We can provide you with these leakages when designing the ventilation system in the project planning.

Disinfection resistance (H2O2 hydrogen peroxide)

Cleanrooms are normally disinfected using conventional cleaning agents and disinfectants to which our system is resistant. In the production of cleanrooms, all cut edges are only powder-coated after punching, so no bare areas are visible.

If special cleaning agents and/or disinfectants are to be used, we are happy to carry out resistance tests on the powder coating.

The powder coating of the walls and ceiling system, including the cleanroom silicone, has been tested for resistance to hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) by Graz University of Technology. A list of commercially available cleaning agents and disinfectants to which our powder coating is resistant can be requested on request.

Cleanroom silicone

Only cleanroom silicone is used for airtight grouting in cleanroom technology. These cleanroom silicones naturally also have a test certificate from the Hygiene Institute.

Qualification and validation

We provide the necessary documentation for this in advance as far as possible.
